Nov 12, 2004 : NetDespatch Picks Viatel for Hosting

📅 November 12, 2004 - European Web hosting provider Viatel (viatel.com) announced earlier this week that it has signed a five-year hosting deal, worth £1 million, with application service provider NetDespatch (netdespatch.com).

According to the deal, NetDespatch will outsource its Web-based systems and servers to Viatel"s managed data center in Egham, UK.
"We're pleased to have found in Viatel a professional ally that shares our values of reliability and high levels of customer service," says Becky Clark, chief executive of NetDespatch. "As an outsourced service provider every minute of downtime is a minute we're disappointing our customers and their end users. Viatel provides the reassurance that downtime is a kept to a minimum."
According to Viatel, the companies agreed to a service level agreement that assigns clear areas of responsibility to each of them.
"Businesses live and die on the strength and reliability of their service. We've invested in our systems and support structure to ensure businesses such as NetDespatch can work in alliance with Viatel to provide excellent service to their customers," says Roberto Bonanzinga, senior vice president of marketing and business development of Viatel.
