Nov 22, 2004 : SWsoft Releases Virtuozzo Windows Beta

📅 November 22, 2004 - Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (sw-soft.com) announced on Monday that it has released the beta version of its server virtualization solution Virtuozzo for the Windows platform.

Virtuozzo for Windows enables hosting service providers to partition a single physical server into multiple virtual servers that perform almost identically to a stand-alone dedicated server. The virtual private servers help service providers maximize the revenue opportunities of a single dedicated box, SWsoft says.
"Our approach brings to market a unique architecture that maximizes server resources because each VPS resides on a common shared OS with near-zero overhead," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. "Virtuozzo for Windows brings all of our proven capabilities of Virtuozzo for Linux to the Microsoft platform including advanced resource management, isolation, security, comprehensive tools and more."
Virtuozzo is equipped with the Virtuozzo Management Console, a centralized systems administrator management tool, as well as browser-based self-management Virtuozzo Power Panels for use by VPS owners.
The final release of Virtuozzo for Windows is slated for early 2005.
