📅 December 22, 2004 - CentraComm Communications, Ltd. (centracomm.net), a Findlay, Ohio-based managed services and security provider, announced on Tuesday it has acquired the ComWavz Network Operations Center in Bluffton, Ohio, a move it says fits strategically into its three-to-five-year business plan.

"It is expected to significantly enhance our service offerings by increasing our physical data center space, a crucial component supporting the future growth of most companies," says Lynn Child, CEO of CentraComm.
CentraComm's services include: CentraSECURE's managed firewalls and VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention, SPAM and anti-virus protection; CentraBAND's IP solutions including WAN connectivity, IP/VPN, Internet services as well as managed services; CentraHOST's virtual hosting, dedicated servers and colocation for businesses; and CentraCONSULT's network and security assessment, design, methodology, and architecture.
"The purchase of this facility was a market-fulfilling decision," says Sean Burke, chief marketing and sales officer of CentraComm, "We have been approached by clients looking for innovative solutions for colocation and disaster recovery. The Bluffton NOC provides an excellent opportunity to fulfill those needs."
