📅 - Data center and managed services provider Anet (anet.com), a subsidiary of Continental Broadband, announced on Monday that it has expanded its data center facility in downtown Chicago, Illinois to include more than 3,000 square feet of new rack space.
As part of this expansion effort, Anet extended its space commitment for a minimum of five more years and anticipates its investment will afford a Tier III rating from the Uptime Institute.
"We invested close to $350,000 in the expansion that not only includes additional floor space, but also the addition of fully redundant A&B Power feeds, additional cooling capacity and a brand new state-of-the art NOC facility and man-trap," says John McCreary, general manager at Anet. "I believe the need for this facility expansion, along with increasing the size of our regional network footprint, is evidence that our customers have confidence in our strength and ability to provide reliable service."
Anet says it will begin adding customers to the expanded area of the facility beginning September 1.
