Mar 22, 2005 : British Sugar Deploys Redline Appliance
📅 - Redline Networks (redlinenetworks.com), a developer of network appliances for Web application performance optimization, announced on Monday that British Sugar had selected the Redline E|X appliance to improve the performance of its PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne enterprise resource planning system. Redline says its E|X appliance, which speeds Web application response time by up to 50 percent, will improve consistency and reliability for the British Sugar's 200 employees accessing the application from 10 remote sites. "Many companies using complex, Web-based enterprise applications, such as ERP systems, find that their existing infrastructure cannot cope with the extra demands being placed on it and only expensive remedial action can address the issue," says Craig Stouffer, vice president of marketing at Redline Networks. "Redline's E|X appliance enhances reliability, reduces IT running costs and mitigates the need to purchase expensive hardware." Redline says British Sugar also plans to deploy the appliance for other applications and to provide caching functionality.
