📅 - Foundry Networks (foundrynetworks.com), a provider of switching, routing and Web traffic management solutions for enterprises and service providers, announced on Monday that it had released a new solution package designed to optimize Web application delivery infrastructures.
Foundry's package includes a ServerIronXL application switch and an advanced ServerIronSA 100 Web accelerator. Foundry says ServerIronXL is the industry's most popular application switch, combining server load balancing with advanced layer 7 content switching and global server load balancing. The ServerIronSA 100 Web accelerator features integrated SSL acceleration, client-less Web compression and client authentication with performance of over 200 SSL connections per second and up to 100 Mbps of compressed content throughput. "Enterprise IT departments are being tasked to implement data center designs that ensure high availability and optimized performance for their business-critical secure Web and non-Web applications," says Gopala Tumuluri, product line manager for application switching at Foundry Networks. "The primary goal is to meet these objectives while staying within budget. Foundry's ServerIronXL-SSL solution package addresses this need by delivering an ideal balance of cost, performance and feature richness for many small- to mid-sized organizations."
