📅 - Data center and IT automation software developer Opsware (opsware.com) announced last week that Sallie Mae, a provider of education funding that manages over $107 billion in loans, has selected Opsware to managed its IT application infrastructure across a network of hundreds of servers and network devices. 
Opsware says Sallie Mae is using its technology to increase IT efficiency and enable compliance with both internal policies and external regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley. The company was selected for its superior architecture, deep automation capabilities across multiple platforms, and unique ability to manage both servers and network devices. "The country's largest enterprises, such as Sallie Mae, are choosing Opsware to help them gain efficiencies in IT and achieve internal and regulatory compliance," says Ben Horowitz, president and CEO of Opsware.
