OpenNetwork Technologies and ClientSoft form strategic alliance

📅 April 11, 2001 - OpenNetwork Technologies, a security infrastructure software developer announced on Tuesday that it had formed a strategic alliance with ClientSoft, a leading provider of legacy application integration solutions. Through the alliance, the companies will work to provide a secure interface with back-end legacy systems and archived data to e-businesses.

The new arrangement will make use of the secure architecture offered by OpenNetwork's DirectorySmart e-business platform, as well as ClientSoft's ClientBuilder WebPack, allowing businesses to bring applications and data from mainframe systems to the Web quickly and securely.
OpenNetwork says that by offering interoperability with ClientSoft's WebPack, the company will expand its customers? access to enormous amounts of data stored behind the firewall.
The companies recently completed their first integration job for the South Carolina-based company Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina. Blue Cross and Blue Shield says that the integration of the two services has allowed it to bring its suite of services and applications to its network of providers, members and employers, without the need for developing new, customized applications.
