📅 - Internet payment service provider GlobalCollect (globalcollect.com) said on Thursday that it had been selected by Lycos Europe (lycos-europe.com) to process payments for its Web hosting, communication and access services. Lycos Europe had rolled out the GlobalCollect payment platform in Germany and the Netherlands. The company says it will be introduced for the UK, France, Spain, Denmark and Austria in the coming weeks. "Lycos chose GlobalCollect as its strategic payment service partner because it enables us to outsource our payment collection in several European countries through one single technical and administrative payment interface," says Sven Krahn of Lycos Europe. With GlobalCollect, Lycos customers will be able to pay for their services by credit card, direct debit or direct money transfer from their banks, in their local currencies.
