Lakeview Technology completes FastPath solution for Fiserv

📅 April 11, 2001 - Lakeview Technology, an industry leader in the development and distribution of Managed Availability, data integration and clustering solutions for midrange computing platforms announced on Tuesday that it had completed its MIMIX FastPath solution services at Fiserv Inc., cluster-enabling that company's "International Comprehensive Banking System."

A provider of information management services and data processing, Fiserv supplies e-business technology for digital-age banking and Internet commerce. Fiserv's ICBS banking system is a financial automation solution designed to link every aspect of the banking business.
ICBS performs real-time product management, general ledger and account-processing functions. As a critical service, ICBS can?t afford to lose access to applications and services as a result of downtime. By using clustered computer systems, built of linked servers, says Lakeview, is a powerful step toward ensuring the availability of data and applications.
Lakeview's MIMIX FastPath solution service creates the application elements necessary for clustering on the AS/400 and iSeries 400 machines used by Fiserv's ICBS. The FastPath solution includes tools, methods and services designed to cluster-enable both packaged applications and custom-developed programs, providing a simple method for achieving IBM's ClusterProven status.
By working closely with Fiserv to complete the FastPath solution, Lakeview Technology consultants were able to bring the ICBS application through the tests required to earn the ClusterProven branding, as well as Lakeview's own ClusterReady seal.
Fiserv says that cluster-enabling the application was a time-sensitive and high-priority measure, and that the company immediately turned to Lakeview for its expertise and professionalism.
