Jun 1, 2005 : Redbus Appoints Head of Facilities

📅 June 1, 2005 - Colocation provider Redbus Interhouse UK (www.interhouse.net) announced on Wednesday that it had named Steve Houssart as head of facilities management for the UK division of the company. The appointment comes as part of the company's ongoing investment in the development of its data centers in the UK.

With more than 20 years experience in environmental and facilities management, Houssart specializes in technical real estate and brings data center and High Voltage N+1 system expertise to Redbus
Interhouse. He previously held the position of European facilities director at Global Switch's UK centers, and more recently worked as a freelance consultant specializing in technical infrastructure, business continuity and telehousing acquisitions.

"As a result of a surge in business both from existing and new customers, we've implemented a significant upgrade programme for our facilities," says Simon Neal, Country Manager for Redbus Interhouse UK. "We identified the need for a senior manager with the right mix of facilities management, operational and technical skills for this position and Steve's extensive experience in our market made him the ideal choice for Redbus Interhouse."

The company said it had informed all affected customers and set up a special technical team to help transition them to another provider. "We are sorry to cause any inconvenience to our customers.
