📅 - Data center automation software developer Opsware (opsware.com) said on Tuesday that Megapath Networks had selected Opsware to expand its network management capabilities for its service provider network. MegaPath supports over 50,000 customer network end-points in North America.
Opsware says it will be a key part of MegaPath's compliance and auditing strategy and will improve the operational efficiencies for all MegaPath's managed network devices.
According to Opsware, it was selected because of its enforcement and compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, CISP and ITIL. It was also selected for its automated workflow.
"We selected Opsware based on the company's proven track record, best of breed technology and experience in the service provider market," says John Moshier, senior vice president of customer solutions for MegaPath. "After a thorough evaluation, Opsware automation had the highest technical merit in its class and can rapidly scale to ensure we meet the changing demands of our customers."
