Sep 27, 2005 : Web Host Windy City Offers Free Tools
📅 - Chicago-based Web hosting provider Windy City Web Solutions (windycitywebsolutions.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Monday that it has added a collection of free tools to its hosting services, though it plans to charge for the tools in the future.
Windy City says it purchased the rights to distribute the tools, which include a data backup tool that enables scheduled backups of a single account, or of large numbers of Web hosting accounts at once for resellers.
The company has also introduced a MySQL backup tool, a site copy tool that enables the easy trasfer of sites between servers and a downloadable site uptime tool.
"Our current customers just can't say enough good things - they're fully automated and work great for resellers and individual hosting clients," says Kenneth Fox, CEO and co-founder of Windy City Web Solutions.
Windy City says it hopes to introduce similar tools in the coming months.
