Oct 24, 2005 : Singapore Web Host Adds to Invoicing

📅 October 24, 2005 - Singapore-based Web hosting provider 8 to Infinity (8.to -> fozzy.com) announced on Monday that it is enhancing its current invoicing system. The system includes the manual printing and posting of invoices and bills into an online electronic system that integrate with 8 to Infinity's current Web hosting solutions.

"Orders through the Internet should be immediate," says Lim Boon Chuan, chief technical officer of 8 to Infinity. "Waiting for a physical invoice runs contrary to what an Internet company like 8 to Infinity provides. With immediate online invoicing, manpower and time for each order processed would be reduced by up to 80 percent."

Since 8 to Infinity houses tens of thousands of clients, it requires an immediate, abrupt switch to the new system. The switch will gradually start from new clients and slowly spread to existing clients who are renewing.

The new system will duplicate the current invoices being printed and posted manually, without compromising the quality of billing and invoicing. 8 to Infinity will continue to manually post invoices to clients that need physical invoices for their various purposes at no extra charges. The entire process is anticipated to take six months to a year in length.
