📅 December 6, 2005 - Video streaming provider VitalStream (vitalstream.com -> inap.com) announced on Tuesday it has added podcasting to its content delivery service product line, enabling its customers to deliver audio and video podcasts for immediate playback on portable devices and desktop media players.

With the new capabilities VitalStream customers in the entertainment, advertising, sports and broadcast markets that need a reliable, secure platform can now provide podcasts to subscribers. Through VitalStream's workflow management toolset MediaConsole, content owners can manage and deliver podcasts and other rich media.

VitalStream's podcasting service enables its customers' subscribers to search for podcasts and listen to radio shows, view movie trailers, and read up-to-date news, entertainment and sports content. The Podcasts can then be published to iTunes, and subscribers are notified of new content files when they become available.
