📅 - Switching, routing and traffic management appliance vendor Foundry Networks (foundrynet.com) said on Thursday that it had released two new ServerIronGT Layer 4-7 switches with 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Foundry's new switches are designed to accelerate the delivery of Web and VoIP applications and include integrated SSL acceleration capabilities.
The company says the switches improve service quality and response times for end users, maximize uptime with automatic fail-over and scale server farms and application infrastructure up to 10 Gigabit rates.
"Foundry's ServerIronGT 10 Gigabit switches, purpose built and engineered with a modular design, provide organizations the option for port expandability, performance upgradeability, and on-demand features implementation, including integrated SSL acceleration," says Bobby Johnson, CEO of Foundry Networks.
