📅 - Web hosting provider ServerPlex Networks (serverplex.com -> hostinger.com) announced that it's IT consulting arm, ServerPlex Onsite (serverplexonsite.com) is encouraging the use of wireless networking by offering free installation and configuring for 500 wireless networks in the San Francisco bay area.
The offer includes a wireless router and security configuration, with setup on up to two personal computers. Businesses are not eligible for the promotion, but will receive a discounted rate.
The company says the effort is designed to promote the use of secure wireless networking for homes and businesses.
"Setting up wireless networks can be a very difficult and confusing task for anybody; especially home users," says Robert Marhamat, ServerPlex Onsite business development manager. "Most people do not know how to effectively secure their networks - a major cause of identity theft. I am confident that this offer will be widely embraced by the community; especially as we move toward a wireless society."
ServerPlex launched the Onsite service in the first week of the year.
