📅 March 6, 2006 - Web hosting provider Gearworx (gearworx.net -> hostinger.com) announced on Monday it is offering Microsoft's SQL 2005 server and ASP.NET 2.0 on selected hosting plans. The company has prepared its network to support ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0, as well as SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005.

SQL Server 2005 provides a secure platform for enterprise data and applications, while ASP.NET 2.0 enables Web developers to design and build sites that are compliant with XHTML and accessibility standards.

"We are pleased to be one of the few companies to support this platform," says William Gregorian, CEO of Gearworx. "This will give our customers a simpler, more powerful way to create, deploy, manage and use enterprise data and analytical applications."

Gearworx says SQL Server 2005 enables companies to share data across multiple platforms including mobile devices and enterprise data systems, allowing them to easily connect internal and external systems. The Gearworx Web hosting plans include value added features and instant scalability to support those needs.
