Managed.com Brings HostPapa, ColoCrossing and CloudBlue Under One Umbrella
📅 - Managed.com has introduced a parent identity for HostPapa, ColoCrossing, Hostopia, CloudBlue and LogoMaker, formalizing a web hosting infrastructure group assembled through more than 20 acquisitions. Customers will continue dealing with the brands, according to the company. For hosting and channel providers, the launch clarifies ownership but leaves the operational question unresolved: how much of this portfolio works as one business?
CloudBlue's place in the lineup has a history. HostPapa agreed to acquire the channel commerce business from Ingram Micro in 2025, putting it beside Hostopia in a portfolio serving resellers and service providers. The new name does not mark another CloudBlue [...][... Check source for end of article ...]

📅 - Anthropic Commits $11.6 Billion to Akamai for CPU Workloads - Akamai has secured an $11.6 billion, seven year cloud services commitment from Anthropic, a deal centered on CPU workloads rather than the graphics processors that dominate AI infrastructure headlines. Akamai expects roughly $5.5 billion in related capital spending. For hosting operators, the agreement puts a number on the computing capacity needed to operate AI services at scale.
Akamai says the commitment could grow by another $9 billion, but that expansion would require further purchases on mutually agreed terms. The existing contract is substantial on its own. Spread evenly, $11.6 billion would amount to about $1.66 billion a year, although the companies have not disclosed a spending [...]
📅 - Atos Opens Dubai SOC to Expand Sovereign Cybersecurity Reach - Atos is opening a new security operations center in Dubai with Gulf Cyberfender Hub, extending its managed cybersecurity footprint into the United Arab Emirates as demand rises for locally operated security services. The facility targets government, critical infrastructure and enterprise customers that need incident monitoring and response aligned with national data residency and cybersecurity requirements and controls.
For Atos, the move is less about adding another room full of security analysts than about tightening its position in a market where infrastructure sovereignty is becoming part of day to day technology procurement. Customers that insist on keeping applications and data [...]
📅 - Alibaba Cloud Plans Türkiye, Finland and Netherlands Regions - Alibaba Cloud plans to open its first cloud regions in Türkiye, Finland and the Netherlands within 12 months, extending a network spanning 31 regions. The expansion arrives alongside tools for selling, routing and producing artificial intelligence services. For enterprise buyers, the question is whether local capacity and lower claimed inference costs translate into dependable production economics.
The new locations could change procurement calculations for organizations that need workloads closer to users or must meet local data handling requirements. Alibaba Cloud also plans additional data centers in Malaysia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, France and Hong Kong. But a region [...]
📅 - OVHcloud and CGI Win European Space Agency Data Platform Deal - OVHcloud and CGI have won a 30 month European Space Agency contract to build a computing platform for Europe's Earth observation data. OVHcloud will supply cloud infrastructure, while CGI will design and integrate the system. The award gives a European provider a strategic public workload, but leaves the capacity, contract value and operating economics undisclosed for now.
The platform, called Digital EO, is intended to combine storage, computing and AI tools for researchers, public agencies and businesses. It will connect with existing national and European facilities rather than replace them outright. That makes interoperability a requirement with direct operating consequences. Users [...]
📅 - Submer Group Unveils Corenix Modular AI Data Center Platform - Submer Group has introduced Corenix, a modular data center platform aimed at accelerated computing, extending its reach from liquid cooling into the infrastructure surrounding high-density AI systems. For operators and enterprises, the question is whether a standardized build can bring usable capacity online sooner. Power access, site work and integration still determine when GPUs actually earn revenue.
The launch gives infrastructure buyers another way to procure the physical systems needed for AI computing as a package. That could reduce the number of design and construction decisions made separately at each site. It also moves Submer Group into a larger part of the purchasing decision. [...]
📅 - NVIDIA Debuts Platform to Secure AI Agents From Testing to Deployment - NVIDIA has introduced an agent security platform that lets operators place enforceable controls around software, including a watchdog designed to stop agents crossing boundaries. Its OpenShell runtime is available; the Sentry watchdog is a reference design tied to BlueField-4 processors. For cloud providers, the launch raises a question: who sets those boundaries and answers when they fail?
That question becomes harder when an agent can use tools, retrieve data and keep working after a user has stepped away. A model may have instructions about what it should do, but a hosting platform needs a way to restrict what the running process can actually reach. NVIDIA's Open Agent Safety Platform [...]
