📅 - AZIO AI Holdings is developing a South Texas compute campus around behind the meter natural gas generation, with 11 MW secured and 6 MW already running Bitcoin mining workloads. The company says the 548 acre Atlas One site could eventually support another 500 MW, but that capacity remains unfinanced, uncontracted and dependent on permits and customer commitments.
The useful part of the announcement is not the 500 MW figure. Not yet. It is the decision to make power generation part of the data center architecture rather than wait for a utility to deliver capacity on its own timetable.
