EvoSwitch Returns with 61M Data Center Campus in Amsterdam Area
📅 - A major data center development is underway in Almere, Netherlands, part of the greater Amsterdam metropolitan region, with a projected investment exceeding 61 million. The project is being led by Dutch infrastructure company Ocom, parent of international hosting provider Leaseweb. Plans include two large-scale data centers, a private water treatment facility, a training center, and 28 diesel generators to ensure emergency power supply.
The total site area will span approximately four football fields. Construction of the first data center building is scheduled for completion in 2026, with a second facility planned for 2028.
