📅 - The Open Compute Project Foundation (OCP), a nonprofit known for pioneering hyperscale advances in the data center sector, has unveiled a groundbreaking partnership to create and implement low-carbon concrete, or green concrete. This program, which is in line with larger industry goals to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, would represent significant progress in efforts to reduce the environmental impact of data center development.
To promote the widespread use of low-carbon concrete in data center construction, the OCP has brought together Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Meta in a partnership.
