Aug 29, 2006 : Web Drive Provides CallPlus Hosting

📅 August 29, 2006 - New-Zealand based Web hosting provider Web Drive (webdrive.co.nz -> openhost.co.nz -> crazydomains.com) announced on Monday it has secured a contract to supply Web hosting and domain registration to telecom provider CallPlus (callplus.co.nz) and its subsidiary Slingshot's (slingshot.co.nz) 130,000 customers.

Working with Web Drive, CallPlus has put together Windows and Linux Web hosting plans at competitive rates that will be available within weeks. CallPlus says it is now one step closer to consolidating all its communications services by removing the need for multiple suppliers and billing arrangements.

Web Drive says the deal is further evidence that the company is achieving its vision of becoming New Zealand's leading wholesale provider of Web hosting and domain name services.

"This is a very smart move for the CallPlus group, and we're elated to be a part of it," says Web Drive managing director Daniel Williams. "CallPlus was looking for a reputable and dependable partner for the supply of Web site hosting services, and our wholesale product proved to be a perfect fit."

Last week, Web Drive announced it had completed its ninth acquisition.
