📅 October 23, 2006 - Internet solution provider Traverse Global Communications (traverseglobal.com) announced on Friday it has completed its acquisition of Web hosting provider VirgoHost (virgohost.com).


Traverse Global Communications says the acquisition will contribute to its Web Developer Relief Program, which helps ease the workload for Web designers and developers, especially those who are retiring and are seeking to sell their businesses yet still retain a residual income.

"Everyday we interact with Web designers that have grown to be responsible for dozens or even hundreds of Web sites. While they may have found freedom early on in the business, they now find that they have no life and are chained to their keyboard," says Michael Henton, president of Traverse Global Communications. "With our relief program, we take over the day-to-day Web design and Web hosting support including Webmaster services. We continue billing their clients using their original pricing schedule and then pay a substantial ongoing percentage of revenues directly to the Web designer on each account."

Traverse Global Communications offers a complete line of Internet services for Web developers, business owners and non-profit organizations, including Web hosting and domain name registration, merchant accounts and search engine marketing.
