Russia Accuses Foreign Governments of Planning Massive Cyber Attack
📅 - Russia's Federal Security Service is claiming that they have foiled a massive cyber attack that was aimed at the country's financial system. The Federal Security Service is Russia's main intelligence agency, the agency that took over for the KGB.
They are claiming today that they had received information detailing “plans by foreign secret services to carry out large scale cyber attacks from December 5.” The plot involved data centers owned by a Ukrainian hosting company, Blazing Fast.
FSB said in a statement that they were taking “the necessary measures” to “neutralize the threats to Russia's economic and information security.”
