📅 - George Karidis, a veteran of the web hosting industry, has been named the new CEO of Virtuozzo. Karidis has been a familiar face in the industry for sometime. Before joining Virtuozzo on Tuesday, Kardis was president of Cloud Technology Services at CompuCom, served as chief strategy officer and chief operating officer at SoftLayer, and also worked with IBM.
“I knew a lot of the team already, and they were a big partner when I was at SoftLayer,” Kardis recently said in an interview. He is replacing interim CEO Mike Riolo, SVP Worldwide Sales who has been filling the role ever since Rob Lovell left Virtuozzo in the summer.
