📅 - Microsoft has recently released a new server design with the hopes of speeding up cloud setup. It could influence the entire data center industry and pressure companies, such as Hewlett Packard Enterprises to lower the cost of cloud infrastructure.
By the middle of next year Microsoft plans to deploy the new design, which will be submitted to Open Compute Project. The number one goal is to make cloud deployments easier, while collaborating on this project as an open source project.

The new rules will define the consumer data that can be used for advertising purposes and the information that cannot be sold without the consumer's permission.

📅 - Russia Hacked by Ukraine - A Ukrainian hacking group known as Cyber Hunta released over a gigabyte of data taken from the office of Vladislav Surkov, one of Vladmir Putin's top aides. The hacked data includes emails among other sensitive material, which allegedly show proof of Russia's involvement in the Ukrainian separatist movement.
Mark Czuperski, who is in charge of the Digital Forensic Research Lab of the Atlantic Council, searched through the emails and described it as “serious hack.”

After a rough patch for Google's robotics division in 2015, Page brought in Rosenberg to right the ship. Jonathon Rosenberg has been a longtime Google product executive as well as an adviser to Page.
This move comes after former Access Chief Executive Officer Craig Barrat's decision to step down earlier this week. The appointment of Rosenberg indicates Google's tightening up the fiscal discipline, while an Alphabet spokeswoman declined to comment.
