Microsoft Has Spent More than $3 Billion in Race to Win European Cloud Customers

📅 October 3, 2016 - Microsoft reported recently, the spending for cloud infrastructure in Europe has topped the $3 billion mark. This includes $1 billion spent this last year. CEO Satya Nadella is focused on beating out the competitors for customers, which include Amazon.com and Google.

The company is expected to open new data centers in France next year. Microsoft already has more than twice as much computing power compared to competitors in the European regions.
