Special sensors in Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW will generate real-time data on road conditions and accidents. That data will then be able to be shared between connected cars, creating a live view of road conditions that other drivers can use to better plan and prepare for their commutes and car trips.
The company says the service will be available to customers during the first half of 2017.
