Mar, 2016 : GoDaddy Gains Customers from Virgin Media After Shutdown


📅 - Virgin Media recently announced they will be closing down their hosting, cloud storage and mobile roaming-charge saving apps. The closing will happen on April 28th and they have made a deal with GoDaddy to move customers over to their hosting service. The deal will offer customers moving a free year of hosting.

Users received a letter in the mail informing them of the close. Those using the storage app from Virgin Media have been referred to Dropbox. They are not the only ones that have closed. In the past few years, AVG, Canonical, Nirvanix, Wuala, Barracuda Networks and a few other have closed.
