The person shooing the video of the secret Walmart facility didn't break any laws. The video shot from above the facility isn't a criminal act. However, it's a violation of the Federal Aviation Administration or FAA rules.
Ringle pointed out that Unmanned Aerial Systems now pose a threat to data center security. With a thermal camera attached to the drone, it's possible for a data center to be fully mapped using thermal imaging technology. There are many other threats Ringle outlined in the talk, as well. .
📅 - Case Against WhatsApp May Signal the Future of Wiretapping - A recent case involving a Judge issuing a wiretap order brought up an issue US Justice Department officials are now debating privately. The wiretap order was issued, but no information was able to be collected due to the WhatsApp, according to the New York Times.
The case is not terror-related, but both WhatsApp and the Justice Department didn't comment. However, the Electronic Frontier Foundation decided to respond in a blog posts stating that this may be the next move in “the FBI's war against encryption.” .
