📅 - Ever think about your domain and wonder if you paid too much for it? Domain prices are always shifting, and of course, each domain price is dependent on several unseen factors. We like NameBio for finding information about the purchase and sale of domain names all over the world.
We decided to look at the year so far to see what the pricing trends are. Here's what we found.
TP.com takes the cake as the most expensive domain purchased this year so far at a whopping $929,000 on January 21. This could be part of what is contributing to the higher average domain price throughout January. The average price in January was $2,049, dropping to around $685 at the end of February.

📅 - Telx is Changing Digital Realty’s Cloud Strategy and Revenue - Known for colocation and interconnection services, Telx was acquired by Digital Realty Trust, a big name in data centers, last year. Since then, Telx has contributed $13 million in annual revenue just in the fourth quarter of last year. This will change the way Digital Realty provides its cloud services and will continue to boost revenue.
$7 million of Telx's revenue contribution to Digital Realty will stem from interconnection services sold during last quarter. The $6 million remaining comes from data center space and power.

📅 - GoDaddy’s Global Reach Recently Expands to 11 New Asian Markets - GoDaddy has launched 11 new Asian markets and announced the growth on Monday. They made a promise to grow in the Asian markets last year and this launch helps to fulfill that promise. GoDaddy will now offer services in a total of 14 Asian markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Philippines, South Korea and more.
The services they offer in these markets include web hosting, domains, productivity tools and build your own website service. They also offer services in a total of 10 languages including the local language of the customer. .
📅 - Thunder Convergent Firewall from A10 Networks Available Worldwide - A10 Networks recently announced they have made the Thunder Convergent Firewall available worldwide. The company is a provider of security solutions and application networking and the Firewall is a standalone security product.
A10 Networks is based out of San Jose, California and was founded in 2004. They serve a global audience and provide high performance security solutions.
The Thunder Convergent Firewall provides a high performance solution for data centers, along with DDoS protection and many other features. It's believed that the firewall can prevent most cyber security threats. .
CliQr Technologies is an IT orchestration startup based out of San Jose, California. Cisco is buying the company for $260 million cash. The orchestration platform has already been integrated with Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure software.
The new hyperconverged product line will be called HyperFlex. It will provide a storage management layer to UCS. .
📅 - Rackspace moves 90 employees out of the Public Cloud Department - Rackspace has started the process of moving 90 employees out of the public cloud department to other areas of the company, such as hybrid and private cloud. The main reason for the move is the other areas of the company are growing faster than the public cloud area.
The company stated that they are preparing for a slowdown in new signups for the OpenStack product, which is their public cloud service. With more new public cloud workloads going to Azure and AWS, they are predicting a slowdown in this area.
