Live Stream from Super Bowl 50 Broke Records, but Far From Perfect
📅 - Super Bowl 50 was held at Levi's Stadium in Silicon Valley and it was a huge technology play for many companies. With new 5k, 360-degree cameras for replays and drones banned from recording the game, it was something different than just a football game.
The game broke streaming records with CBS screaming over 300 million minutes of coverage and more than 1.4 million people streaming the game. Last year, the game wasn't even streamed by 1 million people.
The stream wasn't available in 4k resolution and many experienced glitches while watching the game online. There were issues with the Apple TV box and with versions of both Google Android tablets and Chrome browser. .
