📅 - CentralNic, a Domain Registry Company, recently warned their customers of a fake invoice scam. The company stated that a fraud campaign using fake invoices sent via email has been going around. The goal of the email invoices is to obtain authorization to transfer the domain, along with obtaining bank account information.
The scam states the invoices are “Renewal Notices,” but they didn't come from CentralNic. The company has posted images of the fraudulent invoices, but warns customers to always log in and check their account before believing any invoice sent via email. .
