netRevenda.com, a web hosting company, recently announced that it will be enhancing its services with the addition of R1Soft Continuous Data Protection (CDP) backups and archiving. The company avers that it will offer CDP backups with all shared and reseller hosting plans and it will also use CDP to backup its email servers.

It mentions that the addition of R1Soft CDP will bring an elevated level of reliability and protection to its customer's hosting environment. Data recency will improve thanks to R1Soft's method of asynchronous replication; because CDP dramatically decreases impact to disk load and the time required to complete backups, the company can run server backups more frequently than it would be able to with another product. CDP's Bare-Metal Restore, for efficient restoration of complete file-systems, should also increase customer satisfaction.

The company articulates that the product enables it to offer better hosting services while keeping a handle on resource utilization - key for a growing company with data centers in a number of different locations. CDP's web interface allows it to remotely manage server backups and restores from a centralized, multi-tenant backup repository. CDP's integration with cPanel further simplifies management for the 60,000-plus domains hosted in the company's shared hosting division.
