HostV Triples VPS Bandwidth, Upgrades Dedicated Server Specs

📅 - The company announces major changes in its hosting services.

HostV, a managed Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated servers provider, today announced a major shakeup in its hosting lineup, including a tripling of bandwidth on all VPS Hosting plans and major upgrades on specifications for Dedicated Servers. The company avers that its Managed VPS Servers and Linux VPS Servers now start at 1500GB of monthly bandwidth, up from just 500GB before. It further states that Hybrid VPS plans, which combine the power of dedicated severs with the agility of virtual servers, start at a whopping 7500GB of monthly bandwidth, up from only 2500GB.

The company explains that its New Dedicated Servers now include double RAM, starting at an unprecedented 8GB of RAM (up from 4GB). New Dedicated Servers now also boast double disk space, starting at 2 500GB SATA drives. Fully-managed VPS Hosting with cPanel from HostV starts at $39.99/monthly for 50GB of disk space. It adds that all accounts include full support for video hosting, free data backups, and its premium customer support. The company articulates that earlier this year, it introduced Ksplice Uptrack, allowing it to update Linux servers without rebooting. Linux kernel updates are automatically converted into rebootless update packages, and it can simply apply the update remotely without causing a disruption or significant performance hit on the server.

"We're expanding the scale and scope of our hosting packages in a way that distinguishes HostV and reinforces our role as leader in the VPS and dedicated hosting space. These upgrades are important investments in our customers, and we believe these upgrades will drive both retention and new sign-ups," said John Xie, president of Cirtex Corp., HostV parent company.
