The announcement follows last week's news of Fpweb.net's 10th anniversary of offering Microsoft SharePoint hosting and service, reaching more than one million SharePoint users around the world.
The USAC issues a service provider identification number to telecommunications providers that receive support from federal Universal Service Fund programs.
Now Fpweb.net will be able to assist qualified applicants in the funding needed for Fpweb.net managed hosting services.
There are four USF programs including High Cost, Low Income, Rural Health Care, and Schools and Libraries.
If an organization participates in one of these programs, they can use Fpweb.net's service provider identification number to receive managed hosting services at a discounted rate.
"Many organizations cannot afford the IT services necessary for daily operation," says Rob LaMear IV, Fpweb.net CEO. "With the help of the USAC, we are excited to provide these companies with affordable software as a service solutions."
Founded in 1996, Fpweb.net provides managed hosting services for SharePoint, MOSS, Exchange, CRM and Project Server.
The company is Safe Harbor certified for data protection, as well as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
