The announcement follows news of a previous customer win last month where French hosting and data center solutions provider Ikoula added R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection to its service offerings.

According to R1Soft's website, the company's CDP solution is "a near-continuous backups system capable of providing hundreds of recovery points per day scheduled as little as 5 or 10 minutes apart."

R1Soft recently released Version 2.0 of the CDP software for Windows and Linux servers, which provides shorter backup windows and better data protection with its both file and image-based bare-metal restores.

USONYX is now offering R1Soft CDP for Linux and Windows as part of its premium managed service available for dedicated server subscribers. The CDP technology enables USONYX to provide round-the-clock backups, preventing the risk of data loss and adding greater value to its hosting services.

R1Soft CDP backup add-on options can be offered as part of a managed service package, or purchased separately starting at $10 per 20GB for dedicated server customers. After the initial testing period proved successful, USONYX said it chose to extend CDP to its Taiwan and Malaysia data centers and join the R1Soft Hosting Partner Program.

Launched earlier this year, R1HPP provides members with exclusive access to promotional and educational resources, including volume discounts, 50 percent off MySQL add-ons, professional public relations services and other brandable marketing materials.

Networx has also partnered with R1Soft to offer off-site backups as a value-added service for corporate and colocation customers. The company has implemented R1Soft CDP as an in-house solution, as well as providing the back up solution to its own hosting and colocation customers and end users.

Finally, Utropicmedia is using R1Soft CDP technology to power VaultWise, the company's complete suite of data protection and managed disaster recovery services designed for enterprises and governments.

Additionally, R1Soft announced it is offering an end-of-year special promotion for its CDP Starter Pack, which includes three CDP Agents on either Windows or Linux, the CDP for MySQL add-on, for Linux servers only, the CDP Server, the CDP Archive add-on, the service provider API for provisioning and one year of software support and maintenance.

New customers can purchase the CDP Starter Pack for $500 through December 24, which is a saving of more than $400. All new customers and those downloading a free trial of R1Soft's software will also be automatically entered into a drawing to win a new 42" flat panel TV.
