Similarly, the redesign follows a recent trend by hosting providers, including Aplus.net, CrystalTech, HostColor and Server Intellect, who have all launched new websites in the past few months.

In conjunction with the image change online, HostNine says it has also completed a series of internal updates including the deployment of new standardized hardware across the board, revised hosting packages, geographical diverse locations and easy-to-read SLAs.

Regarding the hardware, over the past three months, HostNine has been switching its servers to a single Quad Core Xeon-based processor with 4GB of RAM and RAID-based hard drive configuration to enable customers to host dynamic applications like blogs, content management applications and websites that load quickly. This standardization also enables the company to provide equal quality of product and service across all major points of global presences.

In terms of geography, HostNine says clients now have the option to select one of 10 locations, but the number of accounts per geographically diverse server has been reduced to less than 500. The company is also promoting an unlimited storage and bandwidth hosting package starting at $6.95 per month on its website.

As part of the re-vamp, HostNine says it particularly focused on trimming down the legalese and re-writing its SLA agreement.

"In reviewing hundreds of service level agreements, most would require a full team of attorneys to actually understand," says Ben Gabler, operations manager at HostNine. "Our entire management team spent a full day simplifying the language so that existing customers and new customer alike could read and understand our promise in less than one minute."

Founded in 2006, HostNine offers shared and dedicated hosting and may best be known for its Reseller Central solution, an interface where resellers can manage all their domains across multiple cPanel Linux or Plesk Windows servers around the world.
