Nov 12, 2008 : CM4all Enters Middle East Market

📅 - Although Middle East-focused web hosting or data center related news isn't something we come across too often, web-based applications provider CM4all (cm4all.com) announced on Wednesday it will be unveiling its recently updated CM4all WebsiteCreator Consumer and Business editions as well as CM4all OnlineDrive at the Telecoms World Middle East (terrapinn.com/2008/twme/) conference in Dubai.

Taking place from November 18 to 20 in the Al Bustan Rotana hotel, CM4all says it will have a booth presence in the exhibit hall and its director of sales, Reinhard Haupt, will also be giving a presentation at the conference titled, "Driving Future Growth and Boosting Customer Retention with Value Added Services."

According to CM4all's most recent announcement, as major broadband access business and connectivity carriers strive to expand with additional income streams through value added services, there is a rising demand, not only for CM4all solutions but also for the company's ability to help carriers reduce churn rates while increasing end-user loyalty.

"Our business is selling expertise in adapting our products to meet the exact requirements of markets while respecting language differences and cultural nuances," says Robert Schovenberg, CEO of CM4all. "The Telecoms World in Dubai is the ideal opportunity to introduce ourselves and our services to the United Arab Emirates. We are naturally honored to be on the shortlist for the Telecoms World Awards in the category 'Best Managed Service' and we look forward to the challenges of this dynamic new market which we trust will lead us to forge successful partnerships in the Middle East."

The products CM4all will be promoting at the event include CM4all's WebSiteCreator, an online website building solution, which is now available in more than 20 languages, including Arabic; the CM4all OnlineDrive touted as "an innovative online storage solution, file manager, viewer, sharing and backup application;" and the CM4all Hosting Platform, an IT infrastructure made to dovetail with existing systems, says the company.

With more than three million customers worldwide, according to the press release, CM4all develops web-based applications for the Internet and its software is currently being distributed through leading telcos, ISPs and web hosting providers including brands like BT, Hostway, Endurance International Group, Tiscali, NTT Communications and 1&1 Internet.

Although the UAE is known as a prosperous, rapidly-developing and seemingly technologically-advanced nation, web hosting-related or data center news from that region isn't something we usually hear about. However, over the last couple of months, there has been a noticeable increase in industry-related news coming from the Middle East, prompting one to consider whether this is indicative of the apparent growth we'll be seeing from that region over the next year.

In late October, UAE-based Alpha Data announced it is expecting its managed services customer base to increase by as much as 50 percent in the next six months while earlier in the month, the WHIR reported on Fujitsu Siemens Computers' Dynamic Data Centre Forum, an event where local companies could further discuss the merits and suitability of more sustainable, environmentally-friendly IT systems for the Middle East region.
