📅 - Data center developer, manager and operator CRG West (crgwest.com) announced on Thursday that IP transit provider Mzima (mzima.net) has expanded its footprint into six CRG West data centers across the United States.
According to the company's announcement, Mzima's deployment now spans five major urban markets including Chicago, New York, Northern Virginia, the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles.
Mzima Networks, founded in 2002, says it is the "world's leading high-performance network service provider," and delivers Internet bandwidth via its proprietary NetAlive network architecture and wide-area backbone network.
The company says it offers a "unique combination" of route-optimized transit and private peering, which translates to a high-quality low-cost alternative to traditional Tier 1 service providers and multi-homed networks.
CRG West says its data centers are well-suited to Mzima's needs as its Any2 Exchange Internet peering community is one of the fastest growing Internet exchanges in the US.

Earlier in October, CRG West also reported on new partnerships with cloud computing service provider AppNexus as well as meta-search technology provider InfoSpace.
