📅 - Data center services provider Fortrust (FortrustDataCenter.com -> ironmountain.com) announced that it has completed its $30 million Denver data center expansion project bringing its raised-floor colocation capacity to more than 48,000 square feet, making its total investment in the facility exceed $100 million without incurring debt.
According to Fortrust's Monday announcement, the space is immediately available for colocation having completed power, cooling and other critical systems tests. This latest expansion took 19 months to complete and was virtually unnoticeable to existing customers due to the modular design. The data center expansion offers additional premium space to businesses seeking high-availability colocation.
"Our total investment signals that we're focused on providing our customers with the most technologically advanced and secure environment to colocate their IT infrastructure and protect their data," Fortrust chief executive officer Steve Knudson said in a statement. "We're in this business for the long-term, and this type of investment is key to maintaining our status as a leading data center services provider in the Rocky Mountain region. It is important for our customers to know that we can scale to meet their business needs along with our own in a financially secure manner."
The Denver data center promises rapid provisioning and flexible configurations featuring three-foot high raised floors, and advanced technology providing redundancy and resiliency. The entire Fortrust facility is designed to deliver high-density and reliable power via an electrical distribution system comprised of multiple on-site 2,500kVA transformers, N+1 2MW and 2.5MW generators, N+1 750kVA and 1,000kVA UPS systems supplying static transfer switches and power distribution units.
The WHIR's Anastasia Tubanos had a chance to visit the renovated space and speak with Fortrust representatives for a WHIR TV feature.
Also, besides colocation, customers can also access a variety of managed services through Fortrust to support their mission-critical data.
