📅 - IT security solutions provider Perimeter eSecurity (perimeterusa.com) announced on Tuesday it has named Lou Kerner to the position of chief financial officer.
In this role Kerner will provide strategic, operational and financial management leadership to support Perimeter eSecurity's continued growth. He will be based in the company's corporate headquarters in Milford, Connecticut. "Lou Kerner has consistently demonstrated his mastery of Internet and IT-based businesses and he brings a deep and diverse background to Perimeter," says Brad Miller, CEO of Perimeter eSecurity. "I have known Lou for over 20 years. His strategic vision combined with his financial and management expertise will help Perimeter maximize profitable growth across all of the company's businesses." Kerner was previously the co-founder and president of Wildsites, an aggregator of domain name portfolios, builder of branded websites and provider of a social networking applications.
He has also served as the CFO at Roo Media, a publicly traded enabler of Internet broadcasting, as well as the CEO of dotTV, where he successfully commercialized the .tv domain before selling it to Verisign. Perimeter eSecurity says it provides complete security on demand, protecting thousands of computer networks nationwide. The company offers more than 50 different services on a subscription basis through one pre-integrated platform and web portal, including Vulnerability Defense, Intrusion Defense, Network Defense, Email Defense, System Defense, and User Defense.
In June, the company acquired Edgeos, a network and information security technology provider.
