Jun, 2001 : EDS, Ziff-Davis Extend 28-Year Relationship
📅 - Global IT services company Electronic Data Systems (EDS) announced today that Internet magazine publisher Ziff Davis Media had renewed its agreement with EDS to provide outsourced subscription services for ZD's five million magazine subscribers.
Under the agreement, EDS will provide Ziff Davis Media with a number of services, including list conversion, basic fulfillment, statistical, mailing and warehousing and Internet services. Terms of the three-year agreement were not released.
EDS and ZD have been working together in various capacities for more than 25 years.
The agreement covers 11 of ZD's publications, including PC Magazine, Yahoo!, Internet Life and Expedia Travels. EDS said it will manage fulfillment of the operations from its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) facility in Boulder, Colorado.
EDS has made a recent push to expand its presence in the CRM market, unveiling a suite of outsourced services that allow companies to operate, manage and sustain a business with a heavy customer focus.
"Our success in marketing subscriptions via the Internet is due in part to EDS' ability to develop new products and solutions," said Charles Mast, Senior VP of Consumer Marketing at Ziff Davis Media. "It was very important to us that our long-term CRM partner has products and services in this area. We are confident that EDS' current and future products will serve us well."
