Cable & Wireless France Implements Micromuse's Netcool Suite

📅 - Micromuse Inc. (http://www.micromuse.com), a leading provider of real time fault management and service assurance software, announced on Tuesday that Cable & Wireless France (http://www.cw.com) has deployed Micromuse's Netcool suite as its central fault management tool to manage its leased line and IP networks.

?Cable & Wireless France's IP service offerings are growing rapidly,? said Mylene Veillet, Marketing Director Cable & Wireless France. ?We required a solution that would give us an end-to-end view of the network in a short time-frame, with as little implementation cost as possible. The Netcool solution began monitoring our entire IP network off the shelf, and integrated with our existing technology in less than five days. When the project was finished, the complete deployment had taken only a matter of weeks. In addition, it came in at only a fraction of the cost of competing solutions.?
After careful consideration of the proven benefits of the Netcool solution, Cable & Wireless France selected and deployed Micromuse's flagship Netcool/OMNIbus application, along with the Netcool/Internet Service Monitors suite. As a core component of Cable & Wireless France's management of voice and Internet service performance, the Netcool solution monitors the status of equipment, including Juniper, Lucent and Cisco devices to provide an integrated, real time view of the service delivery infrastructure.
?We already work closely with Cable & Wireless in a number of locations globally and are delighted with the opportunity to extend our relationship to Cable & Wireless France,? said Lou Steinberg, Micromuse's Senior Vice President, Marketing & Market Development. ?We are seeing more and more companies who seek a fast solution to the challenges posed by rapidly growing and increasingly complex networks. The Netcool solution is able to handle high levels of fault information with a minimal amount of configuration.?
