Advanced Communications and Dialtone to Provide Windows Admin Tools

📅 July 17, 2001 - Advanced Communications (act-usa.net) a leading remote management software developer, and Dialtone Internet (dialtoneinternet.com), a leading provider of dedicated hosting and collocation services, announced that they will join forces to provide management solutions for dedicated Windows 2000 Web servers.

As part of the agreement, Dialtone Internet will offer IBM Windows 2000 Servers preinstalled with Advanced Communications' flagship product, Hosting Controller.
Hosting Controller is a multilevel server administration interface for commercial Web hosts that use the Windows platform, designed to automate most administrative operations and allows clients to manage Web sites remotely, without compromising security.
"Managing ever-growing hosting tasks is time consuming and has never been an easy undertaking for Web hosting companies," said Syed Nauman Hashmi, CEO of Advanced Communications. "Without the use of a highly effective automation tool, Web hosting operations that provide 24-hour support to their clients are very costly and labor intensive."
He said that Hosting Controller moves administrative tasks to resellers and end users, which makes it easier to manage them.
