Jul 31, 2001 : HostingTech Magazine Announces Growth

📅 - HostingTech (hostingtech.com), a leading print publication covering hosting technology, is announcing its plans to expand its staff to meet the demand for higher editorial and advertising page counts. The magazine said it is garnering increasing advertising revenues despite the recent decline of the dot-com phenomenon.

"We attribute our continued success to a number of factors," said DebDiscenza, editor-in-chief of HostingTech. "HostingTech magazine is uniquebecause it's dedicated to Internet-based business trends, which are evolvingin an explosive fashion. The highly publicized failures of many new dot-combusinesses, ironically, only validate the importance of our publication. Noone is succeeding by accident anymore; only informed technology architectsare thriving, and our magazine is reaching these people. Additionally,HostingTech is the only trade publication to target not only serviceproviders, but SME and enterprise companies with hosted applications aswell."
HostingTech's focus is enabling it to prosper while other magazines havebeen struggling. Says Discenza, "For years, the information technologyindustry as a whole has been inundated by well-meaning, but unfocusedpublications, and now we're seeing some of them disappear during thiseconomic downtrend. Others have been forced to make drastic reductions instaff, page counts, and paper quality. Yet HostingTech is still on top, still publishing the same packed, high-quality magazine."
HostingTech is responding to its favourable market position with calculatedgrowth. Continues Discenza, "We are actively searching for top-notch staffmembers and salespeople, in order to meet and exceed the expectations of ourreaders and advertising customers. These new hires will help us keep pacewith the expanding domain of hosted technologies."
Last month, the magazine highlighted the online security roles of the SecretService and the FBI. In August, it will examine the innovations and perilsof the online adult entertainment industry.
