CSC and Cyberplex To Create Web Presence For Tour de France
📅 - Cyberplex Inc. (cyberplex.com), one of North America's leading Internet professional services companies, today announced that it has extended its business relationship with Computer Sciences Corporation (csc.com), by helping create the sponsorship site for the Tour de France.
The Web site was designed to highlight CSC as the event's official ITprovider through 2003 as well as their top- ranked team. The site featuresreal-time race updates, video interviews, animated graphical content andoffers wireless users the ability to get race updates via WAP enableddevices. The main component of the site is driven by CSC's enterprisecontent management system, enabling on-site reporters to immediately andremotely update the site with behind-the-scenes stories, interviews andimages. The latest collaboration is an extension of an existing relationship betweenthe two companies. Earlier this year, CSC underwent an enterprise-wideeffort to integrate its Internet presence (over 200 different Web sites),and in doing so, changed the way it managed content and Web developmentinitiatives across the enterprise. CSC and Cyberplex worked together tobuild the new corporate site and the supporting enterprise contentmanagement system that enabled a decentralized content management model forCSC. This first phase of the project will effectively reduce operatingcosts and enhance the corporate brand.
