OptiGlobe's Data Center Certified to Host Argentinian Financial [...]

📅 August 9, 2001 - OptiGlobe (optiglobe.com), Latin America's leading provider of mission-critical enterprise and Internet Data Center services, today announced that its Buenos Aires IDC became the first and only data center in Argentina certified to host and service financial institutions' mission-critical IT systems, including transaction systems, data warehouses and applications. The stringent infrastructure, security and services requirements for certification were designed by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic.

BDO (bdo-argentina.com), a leading worldwide consulting and auditing firm, certified OptiGlobe after evaluating the company's security,telecommunications, data processing and IT services capabilities. BDOconcluded that financial institutions, including local and multi-nationalbanks, brokerages and insurance companies, that outsourced the operation oftheir systems to OptiGlobe would meet the government's rigorous securityrequirements to protect data.
