Aug, 2001 : Vina Provides Nuvox With Integrated Network Edge Solution
📅 - Vina Technologies (vina-tech.com), a leading architect of multiservice broadband access, yesterday announced that it has expanded its relationship with NuVox Communications (nuvox.com), a Missouri-based, integrated communications provider, to encompass Vina's complete integrated solution for the metro edge which significantly lower its network operational costs.
This order constitutes a $2.3 million commitment from NuVox to purchase abroad range of Vina's integrated network edge products. Vina's integratednetwork edge solution spans from the customer premise, with Vina'sIntegrated Access Devices (IADs), to the central office, with Vina'sMultiservice Broadband Xchange (MBX). The solution enables serviceproviders to gain a competitive advantage by quickly generating new revenuestreams, entering new markets and turning up new customers.
NuVox is currently in trials with the MBX solution and estimates more than50 percent lower cost per broadband line when delivering its full-bundled,voice, data and Internet services to its growing customer base of small andmedium businesses.
NuVox currently has installed over 10,000 Vina integrated access devicesacross their network. Vina's Integrator, the Multiservice Xchange and theeLink family of IADs integrate voice, Internet and data services over asingle broadband line to enable service providers to offer competitivelypriced broadband bundled services to SMBs. Now, combined with Vina'srecently released MBX, a new level of network optimization can be realizedat the central office or co-location through the integration, aggregationand concentration of both voice and data in the first mile of the network.
Born from the recent merger of Gabriel and Trivergent, NuVox Communicationshas grown to exceed 100,000 lines sold in just under two years.
